Donna is very grateful, but very sad tonight

I just got off the phone with Donna. She said there was a black cloud over her company today. Her company laid off 48 people today. Donna's job has been spared for now. Very sad. Donna told me employees were crying. Donna and I are crying with them, and praying, that THE LORD will open a new job door for them. Are any of you laid off? Please tell me, and I'll pray. Mary MOB

That's terrible Mary. I'm so glad Donna still has her job. What's happening in our economy/country is scary. I'll pray for them too

lots of going their way. It's very scary in the economy right now, we thank god that we're doing ok. But my mom's company had a big lay off too a few weeks ago, and she said she was just going to hide in her office all day! I was scared all day but it turned out she was fine.

That is horrible but thank goodness Donna still has her job. My best friend lost her job at Lehman and is now working for the company that bought Lehman but lost a lot of money in retirement and is making less. This economy is really scary...But I am very happy she has her job

Hi, Vicki!!!! Yeah, Donna and Josh, hopefully will be able to have the $ they need for their wedding, but I pray things work out financially for them, so they can stop renting and buy the townhouse they want. I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Prayers that THE LORD will bless her!!!!!! Mary MOB

Everything thing will work out, just keep thinking positive! So sorry to hear about all of her co workers. In this economy anything can happed thats the scary part.

That is terrible...same thing happened to FH job...they laid off 100 people......man this is a recession for real!

That is so sad. My job recently let go of some people.. thanks god not me or anyone in my office.. but its sad and scary at the same time.

This who economy issue is certainly scary... and for us brides who are planning weddings in the mist of it... especially when they say things are only going to get worse before they get better. I do keep it in the back of my mind.
Hopefully everything works out for all of us!

It really ***** Mary. The same thing happened to my company a few weeks ago. They let go about 15% of jobs here. Thankfully I was spared for now. It was a terrible day, a lot of us were crying. I lost a few good coworkers that I really cared for. I am so grateful to have my job. I am glad Donna still has her job too.
