have been having problems with the money and just thinking about having quite wedding with family and closest friends....
i was thinking to save some money for the honeymoon...and just have a little wedding/..
what do you girls think?

we just went to a small wedding it was sooooo much fun! they got married in a park and then we all went to a restaurant and then afterwards we went to a couple of bars and danced the night away. it will be wonderful whatver you decide, do not spend money you do not have you will be stressed about it and then not even have fun

Awww, if you are having issues I would either think about moving the date or just having a smaller wedding. But you have to ask yourself this- do you want a big celebration? If so, then move the date and SAVE. If you can go without having a HUGE wedding, then have a small wedding. Good luck though. Sometimes when we worry, they end up just working out anyway.

I think you have so many options. First I would think is it more important to you to have more glam with fewer people or more people with less glitz. Small weddings can be amazing b/c they bond people to you so much more, people feel honored to be there. You could also have more people and just have it informal. I literally went to one that was huge but potluck! And four other friends did the flowers and decoration. It was super cheap and didn't look it. Or like someone else said just wait - either way it will be amazing b/c you are marrying your honey. .and if you go small you will have an awesome excuse for a HUGE anniversary party down the line

i would have loved to have a smaller wedding... im not a fan of these huge affairs so if i had a choice, i would have made it alot more intimate... i say go for it if thats what you and fh thinks is best!

i paid a deposit ...and a second payment...so its not much! but i dunno what to do ...I want to have a little party afterwords and just invite the closest people!

You should do whatever you want. Its about you and your FH not about pleasing other people. If you want to have a small intimate wedding - then go for it

You have so many options!! What if you had a coctail reception instead of a sitdown or a buffet!! No matter how big or small your wedding is, its more important that you enjoy your engagement and the planning, and if the money is stressing you out, I totally agree that you should talk to your FH and figure out how to make it fun again

i think a small wedding will be beautiful, just add the important touches that you have always dreamed of, colors or flowers. i wish i was having a small wedding, i feel like that would have been more my style.

Just remember - it is YOUR wedding. No one elses. You can change your mind and make it small and just for the closest of family and friends. You two can do whatever you want. Don't feel bad or guilty about any of it, as long as you are happy with the decision it is all that matters.

I think its a very sensible choice to make.
I am having a smaller, less expensive wedding than I had originally planned last year and am very happy with the decision I have made.

We were planning on that, a 18 person wedding at disney. But family came in to play so we are having a semi-small wedding now here in NY...
I think small weddings are easier for you to spoil your guests and have funfunfun....and it will save in the long run!

I wanted a small wedding too, it just didnt work out that way. I say do what your heart tells you too!
