I have exhausted just about every hair/mu person and either they are not available or I did not like the trial (most of the popular ones on here are not available). I still have no one for either and Im getting very stressed!! Plus I live in lower westchester so some wont even come out here. Im the first of my friends to get married so I have no recommendations....depressed.

did you try a local salon? i'm going to a local place for hair and makeup. you could also go to the makeup counters at a department store and scope out the ladies. choose one who's makeup you like and have her do yours. i think those girls do wedding day makeup all the time.
just because someone isn't a vendor on here doesn't mean they're not any good! it'll all work out!

How bout your regular hair person? Does she have recommendations? Would you trust her to do your hair?
I never like the idea of sitting at the mall having makeup done, but maybe you could soliciate some of the girls there. A lot do work on the side. You could go to a different one everyday for free and if you find one you like ask if she'd be willng to come to you for the day of makeup!

One more suggestion?
Is there a beauty school nearby? If so, there are always postings there by makeup artists and hair people. Usually cheap and up to date on all the latest stuff. Worth a shot!

Someone getting married in Westchester gave me two recommendations. They travel!
One does only makeup but can recommend a hair person and the other does both (I forget who does both)... Both are supposed to be excellent!

I'm going to a local salon to have my hair and makeup done... I found a woman here in Nassau at a salon that did my hair and makeup better than anyone ever has for a wedding I recently went to. Try just googling 'salons in zip' and then some may have reviews on whether people like them or not. You could even ask people at work or that you know if they have an reccomendations of a salon that they've gone to.

for make up, i tried this girl from Bloomingdales. I met her at their expo that they had earlier this year. She did a free trial. And she did such a wonderful job. She works at the Bobbi Brown counter. If you want i can FM you her number and name later. (although i think there was a girl on here who used her for her wedding...)
