I don't know if you can't invite him. Especially if you're really close friends with him.
Maybe you & your FH can have a honest talk with him and share your concerns...it's a tough situation. sorry.

Re: Don't know what to do
I would definitely invite him, but again... Still talk to him about I beforehand and maybe he can bring someone (a date) that would also keep an eye on him and make sure he's doing ok.

Re: Don't know what to do
It's hard because he has not been truthful about the amount of siezure he has. It averages about two a month. It's also hard because you just can't take him outside, it will cause a huge disruption and a trip to the er. I don't mean to sound heartless and selfish....but I don't want to think of our wedding day and have that be the first memory we have..

Re: Don't know what to do
It really depends on how close you both are the him. If this is someone whom you see and talk to on a regular basis then not inviting him due to a medical condition can be very hurtful and even your other friends might think of you differently so I would be very careful.. I think that the whole idea bout inviting w/guest so he is not alone would be a good way to go..if you are not very close then I wouldnt invite him... If he is in denial I wouldnt want to adress it with him. He could get defensive and lead to an argument. This is a toughie =/ good luck

I'm sorry, but I think you need to find to find an alternative solution. Perhaps you can invite him with a date or just talk to him.
I honestly think it would be really offensive to not invite someone based on a medical condition...

I have to agree.
We have a close friend that we have known as long as we have known each other. He has a pretty severe case of epilepsy as well. But he is good about taking his medication and knows what aggravates his condition and tends to abstain from that.
Is he on your B list? I notice your wedding date is coming up!
Who knows, he might decide not to come because of his condition. A family friend's wife is going through chemo and she gets really sick at night. So she told my mom that although she would love to come but she would hate to get sick towards the end of the night and 'ruin our wedding'. Even though I don't think she would at all!

Re: Don't know what to do
I don't have advice on what to do, but I do know that medications that your friend might be taking can cause other problems. My cousin who had seizures, also used to have an uncontrollable bladder due to medications. It was embarrassing to say the least. Just some insight to why he may not take meds. Hope all works out for you guys.

Re: Don't know what to do
I think it would be wrong not to invite him, because of his condition. It would kinda someone not having me in their wedding because I am plus sized and might 'ruin the pictures'.
If he averages two seizures a month the odds of him having one at your wedding are slim. I think you should voice your concerns to him.

I agree, 2 seizures a month is terrible for anyone but it is not like he is having daily seizures. Is he a good friend? Because if so this really could impact your friendship negatively. If I was him I would absolutely be insulted that I was not invited to your wedding just because of my medical condition.

Re: Don't know what to do
If he is a close friend like you said he is I think you should invite him. Talk to him like the girls said, but to blatantly not invite him because of his medical situation is not right. Let him come with a date to keep an eye on him if that's the case. But not inviting him can lead to a lot of hurt feelings and after your wedding day is done and over you may have a bitter friend on your hands...
