Don't Laugh at Me...

But, I am THRILLED that I finally found a large saute pan with a lid, but without the long (annoying) handle...AND I got such a great deal on it, that I cannot stop smiling about it!

I found this:

at Home Goods last weekend...and here's the BEST part...it was only $40, and the normal SRP is $180!!!
WoooooHooooo....go me, go me (I am such a kitchen geek!)

I'm laughing at you, but only because you actually thought someone MIGHT laugh at you!!
Oh no, my friend, we are all as 'kitchen excited' as you are!!!

Yes, I agree with Jenn. I actually could use one of those.

I get excited when my coupons are doubled and I get an item for virtually nothing. Call me a geek!!!

Re: Don't Laugh at Me...

I am not laughing because I was jsut saying this weekend I really need/want a large saute pan. I think that is the only thing that was left on my registry. I currently use my large frying pan and things are always spilling over. Can I ask - why do you not like the long handles and prefer this for sauting? Isn't the shorter handles get hotter and harder to control?

Re: Don't Laugh at Me...

Niecey, to answer your questions...so far, I have found a reason to use this pan for every meal I have cooked since I brought it home on Saturday So far, only the handle on the lid gets too hot to touch when in use. The side handles stay pretty cool.

I prefer the shorter handles b/c I have a toddler who likes to reach for things now AND b/c I have a standard sized stove, and when I have more than two pots going, it gets a little crowded!

I have never heard of Home Goods. Where are they located?

Claud - congrats on the great find

Re: Don't Laugh at Me...

Home Goods is like a Mega Marshalls. They are owned by the same company as TJMaxx and Marshalls.

The only locations on know of are Rockville Centre, Commack, Port Jefferson and there's a Mega Marshalls in Stony Brook that carries alot of Home Goods merchandise too. I love the store so much that I want to go there everyday (I need a life!)

Re: Don't Laugh at Me...

where exactly is Home Goods in Commack?

They just opened a TJ Maxx and More around the corner from my house and I am so thrilled. The store is literally the size of Costco!! I am going to spend SO much money there.....
