What is everyone doing for Favors?
Has everyone picked out their invites?
Who has (or has ordered) their BM dresses?

MAY 2004 GIRLS WHERE ARE YOU! YOU ONLY HAVE 10 MONTHS!!

Yay!!! I reserved our hotel room for the wedding night this morning! Ah, it's good to get something done! At the end of August I'm going to start looking for BM dresses, along with a dress for my mommy. My FMIL only wants to wear this light beige dress that she wore to my FBIL's wedding (looked white to me!!) and I told her no, so I will probably have to go dress shopping with her too!

I also have to get gifts for my BM's and parents. I think for my dad I'm getting this frame that has room for a picture of me when I was little & of me on my wedding day & it says 'Daddy's girl.' I'm also going to get him a gift certificate to Nobu, since I know he loves that restuarant. For my mom, I have no clue. She's very tough to get something for!! For my FI's folks, a nice frame (maybe an invitation frame) with our picture in it. They aren't helping us at all with the wedding (my parents are so great & we couldn't have this wedding without them) , but I feel like it is still nice & respectful to give them something. Am I wrong?

I seriously can't believe that we will be married in 10 months! It's scary that I have been engaged and planning this wedding for a year.

Jess- my FMIL got her dress 4 months ago!! I couldn't believe it when she told me. Now, I have to worry about MY mom....that is going to be a pain in the A $ $!!!! Congrats on booking your room for your wedding night! That's so exciting!

I also have to get gifts for the BP....it's just so hard to figure out what to get- plus get gifts for our parents (and my grandparents!).

I don't think you are wrong with wanting to get your FIL's a gift. I think you are being very respectful!

i want to get that 'daddys girl' frame too (with the young pic and wedding pic). I LOVE it!!!
FH's parents will def. be getting less of a present too! they haven't contributed anything so far. . Kept hinting at FH that they should pay for the invites! hehe My dad meanwhile is paying for the hall. and we're doing the rest. so its only fair that they don't get as much as my dad should. (my moms not really helping either)

I'm checking out florists now...
ready to book video once we have the $ for deposit.
i've picked out an invite (just have to find where to buy them)
looking for BM dresses next month
going for veil and shoes in a couple weeks
working on my favors (handpainted flower pots)
--once florist and video is booked ill look for makeup and hair people

I ordered my BM dresses! YAY! Should be in by Sept. 15th.

I stll need to get tiara/veil stuff,
work on my favors (stationary kits)
Having makeup trials,( I think everyone knows that by now )
Meeting with the florist again in 2 weeks
Looking at invitations but still need to do my Save the Dates!

I am going to finish registering this weekend at Pier 1 and JCPenny Home Store....Then that will be another thing out of the way!

Next I have to send out my STD's...I just have to wait for the hotel direction cards to come in the mail. I have also been looking at BM's gifts...there is still just so much to do!

I think I finally decided on a florist. I have to talk to FI tonight but I think we are going to use them.
I also picked out my BM dresses. Have not 100% decided on the color. I need to take my other two BM, who are in St Louis to try them on, them they will probably order them next month.
Right now, I am gathering addresses of all of my friends so I can give the final info to my FSIL for my STDs. FI still needs to block hotel rooms, that was his job

yeah give us time... i know ive hit a lull in the planning... im at the point that once i book florist i don't have much to do for awhile.
The next thing to do is BM dresses which will be next month.

Hi, I'm new here! You guys all seam so on top of everything. After reading this post, I am freaking out. I feel so far behind, I didn't think it was that bad. I haven't even started looking for my dress. Should I be done with that already?? Can anybody reassure me or, am I in trouble? This is my finished list:

Hall
Photographer
DJ
Limo
Florist

I am in the process of looking for a videographer. All of the above are booked but, I still have to go over details with the dj, limo and florist people. What do you think??

Hi, Kathy! I think youare right on top of things. The next thing I probably would do is the dress...just in case it will be something that needs to be ordered, and may take a while to come in- but don't worry...there are 10 months to go!
