but I'm going to anyway. Is anyone else bumed out that the happiest time in your life is falling at such a terrible time (economy). My fiance lost his job (ironically not because of budget cuts) and so many other people are meeting the same fate. It's depressing and hard and I feel like this is not the time to celebrate. Or maybe it's the opposite, maybe this is the perfect time. Just sharing.

I think of this as a bright spot in hard times.
I view it as we are supporting businesses which in turn helps the economy.

I know our happiest time happens to fall when things are the most EXPENSIVE and when we have the least MONEY. I'm having a pretty bare-bones wedding now, and hope for the economy to pick up and to have a fabulous Saturday night affair for our 5 year anniversary!

I completely agree. FH lost his job the week before Thanksgiving. Ironically, that's when he started looking for an e-ring for me. I really did not expect him to propose anytime soon after he lost his job. He finally got an offer last week and is starting at his new place on Monday. It'll make things much easier. I'm just hoping things pick up a little throughout this year.

I'm a glass half full kind of person. Do the best you can with what you have..........don't stress, life has it's own agenda.Drive on.........party on............think about the people who haven't even got HALF of what we have.
