I recently just went to Fox Hollow to see thee place. I believe I went last Wednesday to be exact and Ken offered me the new room. He said it won't be ready until April 2011 but that they are in the process of building it. Its not a hoax and nobody is lieing. There really is a room but I'm sure it won't mess up anybody elses wedding. The place as a whole is beautiful and all the rooms are nice.

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! finally someone else speaks out! You are my favorite person today. Jeez!! I hope it looks ok. I hope i love it, if not, I am forced to change my date for one of the other rooms...ugh. Scared!

What I will say, is that when I was in the search for a RH, the person I sat with at Fox Hollow tried to sell me on a new room. In which, they didn't have any blue prints for, but my wedding would have been 19 months away. Why would I book a room, with no blue print that will have to be finished in 19 months? And there price was ridiculous, I wrote a note to FH and my parents saying that I was paying for the 'room to get built!!!' and there is more than 1 wedding at a time!

Oh Gosh! I know! I am scared out of my mind! I am getting married on April 23rd 2011. The only room available was that room and the garden terrace. That room was more expensive, Frank said. I may have to change the date if it isn't ready by the time they said it was going to be. They told me it will be ready in two months. Now i am hearing April 2011???? That is the month i am getting married!!!! I think i need to make changes. Do you think i should? Frustrating!
If I were you, I would definitely start looking for other places, or at least start thinking of the possibilities of having to change your date. Hope it works out!

I would call and double check when it is going to be finished. I am like 95% sure he said April 2011 and if your wedding is in April that it cutting it close. I don't think I would want to risk it. What I didn't like is that you have no clue what kind of room your getting. He showed us black and white like sketches but you really can't get a good idea. I'm sure it is going to be beautiful but how did you decide to pick that room?

What kind of room is this going to be????? I don't think its going to take them over a year to build a room Fox Hollow makes a lot of money so I'm sure they have a crew working constantly with the exception of when wedding are going on......

Agreed! I don't believe its going to take over a year to build a room in a hall! If u are happy with the soon to be new catering hall room, then stay with it! Its your decision!

Thanks everyone. I visited Fox Hollow. They did some work but not enough to comfort us. I guess we will have to see! I will keep your posted!

It will not mes up anybody's wedding. They have been in construction for a few months. As posted they are renovating and extending one room. I got married there this past June and there was construction in the back of the building out of site. It is only visible from the parking lot which is Valet. None of my guests were aware of the construction! And it did not interfere one bit. This room is not very close to the 3 main rooms so I can see how it would have it's own bathroom. Ladies you really do not have a thing to worry about!!!! Please do not waste your energy freaking out! I know you have other things that can use that energy!
edit: I was also just there this past weekend for diner @ Rose Hunt and again you could not tell there was any construction going on!

I am booked in the new room. It is going to have it's own entrance, valet, restrooms etc... It is in the back. They have put up some 'dummy' walls inside so you can't see the work going on. It is an extension of the upstairs cocktail hour room. IT IS REAL! I have seen the work and know some of the people working on the plans so don't worry about it. They would never risk their reputation and book people in a room that is not happening! They are not giving out too much information on the room until they are ready to unveil it after the holidays. FIrst weddings are scheduled in it around April I believe.

I called my BM yesterday and he put me to ease regarding the whole thing. This new room will have its own valet and its own entrance. It does not have outdoor capabilities for a ceremony and since that is what we are looking for, they did not show us that. It will be using the smaller cocktail hour room that is near the restaurant.
I believe the Briar Fox room will not be used for weddings anymore. My cocktail hour would be in that room if the weather is not good (which I hope wont be used).
My BM told me the new room would be ready in February and the first wedding is April 23rd. Which would be the girl on here's wedding.
