don't want a guest book, any ideas?

don't want a guest book, any ideas?

I don't like the idea of a plain old guest book for me....

I don't want a guest plate or anything like that, and we're not having a videographer. Any ideas of ways to get people to send wishes/write notes without just a plain sign-in or signature? Maybe have the flower girls go get people to write notes in a book...what do you think? We're having about 100 people.

how about a polaroid book. have someone take pics when guests enter & then they can write a short note under their pic. i also wanted to ask why no videographer? my girlfriend opted not to have one too because of $$$ concerns. they were on a really tight budget. but after she really regreted the decision. even after 3 yrs. think about it.

Do a search for wish bowl- I think a lot of the girls are doing that.

We are having a photographer who is a photojournalist tell the 'story' of our day....I didn't want a videographer. We're not very sentimental people, we never even take pics, I just can't imagine us ever 'watching' our wedding more than once. I think it's fine for others, but my FSIL didn't do it either, and she never regretted it. Depends on the person.

I don't know if you have already done your table #'s, but I am incorporating my guestbook with them. The idea is on Blisswedddings.com, they sell these paper photo albums in assorted colors, that have windows on the fornt. In the window I will put the table name & attach the little book to a normal table card holder. On the tables I'll have fancy little pens & basically each table will have its own book for guests to sign & put well wishes. Hopefully it will encourage people to write things to us since the book will be right at their table the whole evening. I may come with a poem to encourage guests to sign, but a friend is my acting wedding cooridnator so it will definitly be in her duties to encourage book signing!

are you having a certain type of theme?

you can get postcards of your theme and address them to you and 'husband's' address and have your guests fill them out.. then mail them out and when you get back from your honeymoon, you'll have all these cool postcards waiting for you with best wishes and such!!

you could also have a time capsule.. have your guests write out their predictions for you and on your one year anniversary, you and your husband can open it up and see what they wrote,.

LA Productions made me an awesome guestbook. It was a sign-in book and she attached little envelopes to each page (in my color theme of course). Then there were little note cards. lots of people wrote out the little note cards and put them in the envelopes. I also had my younger cousin as the 'hostess' encouraging folks to do it. it was very nice!
