Dont Want to Potentially Offend FMIL

Dont Want to Potentially Offend FMIL

So this is sort of silly-- but we are finalizing limo arrangements and have decided to have a rolls pick up myself and my parents to go to the ceremony-- the same rolls will then take FH and I to the reception. We are also planning on having a limo be at the church after the ceremony to take my parents and my bro and SIL (best man and MOH ) to the reception hall.
FH's BIL and sister are also BM and MOH as well (we have two of each) but have preferred to drive themselves as they have two small babies) ..

So my question is... in an effort to save a few hundred bucks I suggested to FH that he and his parents come with his sister and BIL and/or his other siser who is not in the wedding party, in their own vehicles to the ceremony instead of hiring a limo just to drive them to church and then sit there for 2 hours---then after the ceremony FH and I are obvioulsy in the rolls and his parents can get in the limo with my parents and Bro and SIL...

We have arranged for transportation for my parents and his parents at the end of the night with the limos as well (if his parents decide not to go with FH's sisters)

Anyway FH agreed with this plan and said he didnt need the limo and his parents didnt care-- it was unecssary to spend the money.. but I wonder-- sometimes boys dont care about these things --- but do you think FMIL would feel offended??

Talk to her and propose riding with your parents, maybe offer to get a larger car if necessary....boys don't always think about these things.

My FH said the same thing....I ordered a 14 passenger, knowing that his Mom would want to ride to the RH in it. Turns out...she does!

I don't know, I'm having a similar issue with my parents and future in-laws. My FH didn't think it would be a big deal but his mom started hinting she wanted to be in the limo.

Is it possible for you to ask you FH's sister whether she thinks your FMIL will be offended?

Hope you figure it out without having any in-law drama.

What about arranging for a towncar for FH and his parents just for a pick up and drop off to the ceremony? That way you only have to pay the one trip and not have it wait around for no reason.

Well they are actually goinb to be in the limo from the Church to the RH and also we arranged for limos for them to get home from the RH.
It is only from their house to the church that they will be riding with their children rather than getting a limo.

I thought of that but Joe (our camelot buddy) said that it would basically cost the same.. 300 bucks. Seems silly to pay 300 dollars just for them to get a ride to teh church in a limo especially when their kids WANT to take their own car and live 5 minutes from them....

Then again not worth offending anyone for 300 bucks/

Well, we know some FH's don't think about things like us ladies do..lol.

I am having a separate Town Car pick up his parents to take them to the church then the RH. From there, FFIL can go home with his girlfriend, and FMIL can go home with FBIL and FSIL.

I could have saved money having the in-laws ride in the BP limo, but FMIL and I have no relationship nor was her first meeting with my parents a good one.

Therefore, in lieu of ruining my parents day, I am getting them there own car.

My dad and I will go in an antique to the church while moms in the limo with my girls; then the limo will take the BP and my parents to the hall.
