someone takes credit for your work? One of the SVPs in my company asked my Director for help with something. So of course who ends up doing it, ME! She responded to the original email saying 'Sure, no problem, I'll have it done for you by the end of the day' and then comes and asks ME to do it. The SVP is her boss's boss, so obviously she couldn't say no. But, come on, give credit where it is due!!! I'm the one rushing to get it done!! I despise Corporate America....

I think (I hope) SVPs know that when they say they'll have it done...it will be done by the department...not the director...
I worked at Structure in college and I just mentioned something that they should do for a display (just in conversation)...my boss actually wrote it up and sent it in...with MY name...I got a letter thanking me for my suggestion...so there are nice people out there...

When it comes to that, the best way you can handle it is when you are done, email her and cc: the veep and sr. veep...saying 'I am completed with so and so...yada yada...'
