when you tell people your wedding date...and they are like 'Ya know...a lot can happen in 2 yrs.? sure you don't wanna move that date up?' grrrrrr
one of the guys who services our office equipment came by the other day, and i've known him for several years, so we BS all the time. well he asked me when the official date was, and i was like '02/25/2007' and that was his response to me. he kept saying, 'why don't you just make it in 2006? c'mon! you never know what can happen between now and then....minds could get changed ya know?' i was like W T F?!!! so i should rush to the alter and have a cruddy wedding just to make sure my FH doesn't change his mind?!! Maybe that's what HE did...but not me!! i told him, 'What's two years [since i was engaged in march] of waiting when i have the rest of my life with him?' he was like, 'yeah...i guess.'
seriously...people need to realize how stupid they sound!!!!

he said he got married at the Brentwood CC and did it cause it was the cheapest all inclusive pkge. i've been to a wedding there...and hated it!

Ug, I hate that. My mom keeps suggesting other dates... and tonight when I said 'well, I can't do it next year, I'll be in my first year of teaching' she said something like 'well... you don't know you will be.'
Thanks for the vote of confidence mom! As if applying for jobs wasn't nervewracking enough...
Anyway... I just don't get what's so wrong with the date we picked! October is usually a beautiful month, and this way we have plenty of time to plan!

I loathed the question when people would ask it. But now when they ask and I anser I don't even listen to their response. *** do they care when I am getting married. When it's their turn they can do it they day after they get engaged if they want. This is our wedding and we'll do it when we are good and ready!!! You should have heard the comments we received when we waited to look at halls. People must of thought it wasn't going to happen. We only waited 3 1/2 months. We wanted to enjoy our engagement before the planning began. And you know what? We did!!! I say screw everyoen and their opinions.

I dont think people realize just how rude that does sound. Youre going to be together for the rest of your lives- so whats the hurry in pushing the date ?? GEEZ!!

some people have NO concept of time or money dont they realize 06 is like almost 3 weeks away??? and if people say a lot can happen in 2 years i would say so i should get married next year and if he DID change his mind we would already be married having to get a divorce?? the whole point in being engaged is b/c you want to spend the rest of your life with this person and you get married...ugh people are sooo annoying

OMG.... I hate that i go through that lot too people at my job be like 2007 wow and then when they refer to it they be like when 2011 what u said...People dont understand a nice wedding takes planning and money and I'm not the one to be charging thing stuff and after this weddign i have all this debt this way i have time to get the wedding of my dreams and while paying cash.

this one girl I work with tells me almost EVERYDAY - I think it should be 2006 - why you waiting until 2007 - and then one day I just had it and I was like well - when your planning a wedding that involves 300+ people .. it takes a little more time and a lot more money ... and she didnt know what to say anymore!!
