Don't you wanna scream sometimes...

I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!
I feel like I have so many moments where I just get so excited. It's so weird...I don't want this feeling to end. It's so exciting!! Ladies, do you think we are going to miss all the planning and the anticipation of our wedding day once it's gone? I think I may a little. But, I think life will only get better. Living and being w/ each other each night/ raising a family. You know what my FI told me the beginning of this month while I was driving. It was tooo cute. O.k., he was like you know in 5yrs we could be parents. I looked at him and wanted to kiss and hug him. I got so mushy.

not to be a bummer but I really am not excited

is that a horrible thing or what? Im so concerned with all the things i have to do, that im not enjoying it.

in fact, i hate wedding planning so much that Im putting it off all the time

all i want to do is be married...im so not meant to be a bride

im thrilled youre giddy though...maybe it will rub off on me a bit??

Yup I have those spaz moments too...like I'll be at work and think to myself 'OMG I'm getting married' and then just crack a smile from ear to ear.

I have mixed feelings on the subject. I didnt tell anyone for a whole week when I got engaged. I think its because I dont like to make a big deal about things. I just have an odd way of looking at things, I didnt want someone to take my announcement as me throwing it in their face or bragging. Of course my family was extremely happy, with the exception of my grandfather, who thinks we are moving too fast, even though weve been living together for a year and a half now. Its okay though.
Anyways, I try not to talk about it too much because I am afraid Ill turn into one of those Bridezillas or one of those people that noone wants to be around because all they do is talk about their wedding.

So far Ive narrowed down places that I am considering, hopefully have one picked out in two weeks and then I probably wont do anything until I finish my last semester this spring. I am really not looking forward to doing all those little details, my mom will definitely be driving me crazy. Good luck to the rest of you:)

I also have mixed feelings. Whenever I feel excited, I keep thinking of everything that needs to be done and then I don't want to think of it

Well, I think it's natural to have certain moments that you just wanna get it over with. It can be way stressful. Just the other day, we were suppose to look over invitations for our e-party. He just sat there and watched 'sports', while I was flipping through an invitation book my sister's boyfriend brought over. I asked him to get up. He never moved. So I got pissed and said to hell with it.

Don't worry just think of the time he proposed to you? How did he propose? Did you cry? To be honest w/ you I always thought I'd laugh and be very lay-back about the thing. I was bawling and couldn't stop.

thanks Rina!!! youre very sweet even though i basically rained on your post!!! LOL

Yeah, I think the proposal kinda started this whole thing on the wrong foot cause i wanted it with family around but he did all by ourselves...and no pictures or anything. I was let down by it so maybe that startedc it all

my happiest memories are of him and me and nothing to do with wedding or engagement!!!
Im hoping that i can refuel on good times when we go to cancun in three weeks!!!

That's funny that you mentioned that. Lol. I also kinda wished that he would of done it in front of my family or on New Year's. Just the other day I was talking to my friend and I thought of this really nice way for a guy to propose. I actually told her that I may make him do it again..lol..j/k. Now that would be too obessive.

Have a good trip- that will definitely relax you. Maybe you just need to take a breather. Do you think a bride can get burnt out over wedding plans? Possibly.

I don't think it's horrible. It's totally understandable. I feel like that from time to time. Planning isn't my favorite part it's the anticipation of getting married and starting a life with FH that's exciting and what I'm really looking forward to. Don't be so hard on yourself.

I'll be honest with you. As I plan my special day I have noticed one thing. The newlywed brides who no longer have a wedding of their own to plan, suddenly become wedding planners for their friends and families. Has anyone else noticed this amazing phenomenon?

I know exactly how you feel Rina-I'd shout it right now but I dont want to wake the house-I love being engaged and planning the wedding (it can be stressful at times but I try to think of the wedding day and how great it will be) I love thinking that FH is the man I'm going to be with when I'm old and wrinkly and that we are going to have babies together (in like 5 yrs not now!) I'll have to scream on here since I can't right now

I'M GETTING MARRIED
