Dortoni Rave

For those who say customer service is dead....listen to this:

A friend of mine ordered a cake from Dortoni's for her son's birthday on Saturday. Obviously because of Irene they had to cancel.

Well, she called Dortoni's to tell them she was cancelling the party, and wouldn't be able to pick up the cake. They said they had already made the cake, but understood. They are allowing her to use her deposit towards a future cake.

How many places do you know who would give back a deposit for something they already made? So not only do they have great tasting pastries, they know how to treat people right!

Glad to see this!!!

Thanks for sharing =))

dortoni's has been my family bakery for the past twenty-something years!
I've had many birthday and holiday cakes and cookies from there in my lifetime. And they're excellent with customer service!
and their food is simply out of this world.

Dortoni's is amazing!!!!!!!!! I love everything there

I know! I was a little bummed, but I was fine with it. I think the cake looked good anyway. We had Viennese so I knew the wedding cake would get lost in the mix of all the dessert selections. Ohhh well! They told be beforehand so it was fine really

pixietina: yea, we chose our flavor. We did vanilla cake with chocolate mousse and cannoli filling.

WHAT!!!! I'm very upset. I just went for a tasting a few weeks ago...picked out the cake and flavors. They said they make the cakes for Jericho Terrace...I think JT needs to let them know ASAP that they're not using them anymore. So upset...now I'm back to the drawing board.

Maybe they will keep your with Dortoni.. since you already did a tasting etc..
If thats what they told you, they have to stick by it! I am sure they will. I didn't really question it, so it wasn't an issue for me. They just said they are starting to do their own cakes now..
