Can you girls tell me what exactly Dortonis/JT offers in the way of fillings, etc. for their cake. Is it only the standard fruit filling, fresh fruit and the basic buttercream/whip cream or canolli or can that stuff be switched out for like ganache, hazlenut cream, mocha flavored creams, and differnt thing etc. Also, i know its not fondant obviously invluded int the price but how willing are they to work with you on the design?

I cannot remember anything about the actual ordering of the cake but this was my cake at JT, we had vanilla creme and cannoli filling with devils food cake. I cant remember if it was buttercream or whip cream icing.

I was actually just there today. They have like 50 fillings to choose from I am not sure if they charge you extra I am waiting for a call bacl from JT. I tasted the cake and some of the fillings they were very good. I also changed my cake design a little and added a colored fondant bows instead of plain white ones. I am sure they will work with you.

Do you actually go to Dortoni's to pick out your cake or do you do it at JT?

JT will show you pics and give you the list of flavors but you can call the bakery and make an appointment to come in and taste the cake and fillings.

Just wanted to say Dortoni's is absolutely amazing. My family has been getting cakes there for years. They always do exceptional work :)

You can go into Dortonis and get a cake tasting. they will give you the menu of all the flavors and let you taste whatever you would like. This was one of the first things I did only because my dad and sister (MOH) were ALL about the cake tastings!

so i called them and they said i could come in for a tasting anytime, to just call that morning or the day before and speak to a manager so they will have all the filling available for me to taste.
i didnt ask about fondant or any designs, cuz when i asked about money, he just said to speak to jt about it. basically i would come in, tell him what i want; fillings, designs, etc. and then they will speak with JT and JT will then tell me how much they cover of what i want or if its all covered.
i think its 600 which JT covers so when i go to Dortoni im gonna say that i want to design it and fill it with whateva doesnt go over that, lol
