If you had doubts about a vendor... would you chalk up the loss.. and hire someone else? I know i should go with my gut.. specially since this vendor has had less then favorable reviews lately
help! I guess i just need reassurance that extra money spent is worth peace of mind
ETA Thanks ladies for all your honest feedback... situation has been rectified.... all is peaceful in the world.

I would go with your gut. You also have to remember not all reviews have every bit of truth. You never know the whole story. But if you feel really uncomfortable dump it. Good Luck

Re: doubts about a vendor
well i think $300 isnt TOO bad to lose, I know that some of my vendors took much more and it would just not be worth it to cancel them if i had doubts... so i'd say go for it if its only $300
on the other hand- you can't let bad reviews determine YOUR personal experience. I am using a vendor who has ALOT of bad reviews and I am confident that they will be just FINE on my wedding day.
FM me if you want details

Re: doubts about a vendor
Whey my sister was planning her wedding, my parents booked a vendor for her (she lives in the DC area) Everyone was okay with it until we started to hear and read not too good things about the vendor. My sister was starting to worry and so my parents decided than rather have her stress about that on her day or god forbid something goes wrong, they should just change that vendor. My dad ate the deposit and my sister had peace of mind on her wedding about this particular service.
My advice to you...if you're going to keep on worrying about it- then no price is too large to bite.
Good luck

I regret not going with my gut about my florist. If I could do it again, I would have taken the loss. Good luck

I agree. I would always regret not cancelling if I was not happy. It is not worth the money.

its just gonna cause you unnecessary stress from now until the wedding - and possibly on your wedding day. Cut your losses now and go with your gut.

I would take the loss...your gut is never wrong
ETA: I've changed several vendors because of this gut feeling and cancelling the vendors showed their true colors
look at my profile.

Re: doubts about a vendor
I have done it! Just look at my profile. And if we are talking about the same person, I say do it and do it fast,
I already did.... with my RH! I chalked up the loss bc what I was getting was so much better than I could ever imagine at the old place. It was def worth it to me!

Oh def.... MY GUT told me to cancel this vendor as soon as possible- and as soon as I cancelled them- they showed their true colors and i was happy that I had FIRED them.
This vendor did not return my deposit but retured others who cancelled. I am now not worried about it as GOD DON'T LIKE UGLY!!!! as I am starting to see now.

Re: doubts about a vendor
i would go with your gut, you dont want to take any chances!!!!!
maybe there something you can work out with whichever vendor it is so the money spent isnt a total loss.
if its a dj, use him for a less important party or limo use for bach party or flowers use for a different party, etc......
if you'll lose the money see if they will hold it for a different time so you dont lose it all together........
