Douglaston Manor BM

So I know I can be such a PITA but my BM from Douglaston Manor is soooooooo awesome!!!! I must have called him 6 times the other day within a 3 hour period of time and he answered ALL of my questions. Sam is just the BEST!


Just wanted to share.




Anyone else feel that way w/ their BM from their RH? I can't wait for my wedding!

Sam is an ANGEL

I called to ask how they printed their menus? then I asked about when I could have them done by so I could play around with different cardstock colors.

then I called to find out when I could go to see how they set up the decor on the tables


then I called b/c I had read a post about giving tours during events which I wasn't happy about and they explained the situation and all was great.


then I called to asked a question about the construction

then I called to ask about tablecloths

and then I also called to find out about the napkins




My poor poor BM

This makes me really happy. We just booked today at DM and unlike some other places, our BM just seemed approachable and easy to get in contact with.

Hi 10 bride with a question

Did you neg your price with them? This is one of our top two but I haven't tried to talk them down yet..looking for a late May 2010 date.. With a min of 85 not sure I want that many people.

What do you think.

I didn't. I went to like 10 to 15 RH and all of them had a really high minimum for a summer Saturday night so as soon as DM told me their minimum I was pretty much sold.

But I say ask, it couldn't hurt, if they say no to lowering the price maybe they will throw in some extras.
BTW I think thats a really good price quote.

It is a good price but a place on LI is quoting a bit cheaper, more food..but I can't have my wedding there

Why can't you have it at the place in LI? Why don't you tell DM about your other quote, see if they can match it?

The place in LI doesn't have any space for an evening wedding that weekend. I want to go back to DM and see what I can work out.
