Why don't brides from The Douglaston Manor write reviews?

Hey DM Brides,
My fiance and I are seriously looking into booking at Douglaston, but were a little concerned about the size. When we checked it out, they were set up for an anniversary party of less than 100.
I was just wondering if any of you have been to a wedding there. Also we are probably going to end up with 165-175. Do you think there will be enough room on the dance floor with that many tables set up?
Thanks,
Tami

Yea there aren't many reviews.
There are even less for the royalton.
I think once some brides get married they just abandon LIW.

I recently went to a wedding there. Its a very nice place, alot of drappings and cyrstals. We had to wait almost a half an hour because they hadnt set up the cocktail hour yet but the CH food was really good.

I didnt like the way the room was set up, they had an open section because there had alot of guests so it was like some of the guests were in a totally separate room from the rest of the guests, kinda like an L shape.

Bad part was the main course, I had the chicken, it smelled bad but I ate it anyways and the next day I barfed my brains out

I went to a christmas charity their with my company. The place is pretty. There was about 230 people there and I'm not going to lie we were tight. I think it has to do with the shape of the room. Plus, I think where the DJ was set up it made it worse. That was the only thing I really did not care about. Otherwise it's a nice hall. Maybe do a search on The Knot for more reviews?

I'm inviting 150 people. I've seen it set up for 250 people, it won't be a problem.
