how does everyone get theirs cleaned? wash themselves or send to dry cleaner???

I would definitely send it to the dry cleaners....anything with feathers is a real pain to wash yourself, and you don't want to risk ruining it.

I have a Princeton down comforter (Charter Club). I keep it in a duvet cover all the time. It says machine washable in the tag but I wouldn't wash it.
Keeping it in the duvet cover protects it. I also switch off my down comforter 2x a year. I have another heavyweight down comforter, which I use in the winter & spring.

I also leave mine in the duvet and just wash the duvet...It's only a few months old. Eventually I am gonna have to bring it to the dry cleaners! It might be cheaper to buy a new one!!!!!
BTW, How do you get your duvet cover from slipping and sliding? I had to rubberband mine! Real classsy, eh?!!!

I sewed small pieces of velcro to the inside corners of the duvet and on the comforter. It's stays pretty well.
