Down the aisle--veil over your face or no?

Original post by BlondeJD

Are you having your veil covering your face when you come down the aisle? I know this has been asked before but I haven't seen it asked in a few months. Since trends change, I'm curious what people are doing.

No, and no blusher. One long cascading cathedral length veil. I just never saw myself with the veil over my face.

I'm not wearing it in front. I will have one tier and will be wearing it back, no blusher.

I didn't see myself wearing one, but apparently my fi envisions me that way - so I will wear it. Plus, how many other times can I do that?

I'm wearing my veil in back, but I'm pulling the top layer up and over in front of my face.

Because it is a Jewish Custom, I am wearing my veil over my face.

Same here. Before the ceremony, FH will be placing the veil over my face, and I'll be walking down the aisle with it over my face.

blusher over the face down the aisle-cathedral in back

whip off the cathedral after the pictures (detachable) and keep the blusher for a while in back.

I had a removable blusher - I wanted the veil over my face but I didn't want the extra layers in the back once I got to the alter.

Im undecided. I think I will. FH and I arent seeing each other before so might as well use the blusher.

Nah. I usually like to be traditional but I've never liked the idea of the veil over the face thing. I want a clear view of seeing the expression on his face when he first sees me.

I wore it over my face.

Reasoning = I had been in so many weddings as BM and MOH and had walked the aisle so many times, taht I really wanted to make it special when it was my turn. The veil in front of my face made it really REAL for me and definitely added to the experience....plus, the moment when my dad lifted my veil was priceless.

Yes, the only reason I'm even getting the veil is for my father to lift it at the end of our walk, I just love that part and think its a sweet experience between father and daughter.

Veil over the face and then my father will remove from my face when he hands me off to my FH

Having the veil in the bakc defeats the purpose of the veil...but i know some people just like it b/c it amkes themf eel like a . I may not have a veil at all.
