Traditionally the Bride is walked down the aisle by her father.
To make a long story short we will accept that in my case this is not happening. My next two choices of men (god father and grandfather) have passed away which leads.... I have no Clue!!!
Does a bride have to be walked down the aisle?
Is it wrong to ask my grandmother or godmother to do it? (Mother is out of the question as well)
Next guy in line would be my ex (who is a very good friend of my FH) but that would just be wrong symbolic wise, or my cousin...
If you didn't/ aren't going to be walked down by your father who walked / is walking you down?

I see nothing wrong with your godmother or grandmother walking you down the aisle. But if that's not what you want, you can def. go solo! It's your choice!

I would rather my mom walk me down the aisle since she is the one that raised me but she insists that my father walk me down the aisle.

Walking down solo is acceptable? I always get this feeling from some people I talk to that 'oh that's for movies'
Then again there is almost nothing traditional about our wedding!

do whatever you want!
my parents went to a wedding and the bride walked down the aisle with her FH. it was sort of like 'we are going into this together' always, before, after, good/bad etc... different but my mom said it was really nice.

as an alternative, i think you could walk solo halfway down the aisle, where FH could meet you, and walk the rest of the way together. ...i've also seen this done, and it's got a nice symbolic meaning as well :)

This is also one of my choices, however, my 'plan' is to go down the aisle by myself. My alternate is the above or, if I'm really having a hard time, my godson will walk me down.

I am walking down the aisle with my mother so I dont see anything wrong with you asking your grandmother or another woman you are close to to walk you down the aisle...go for it.

If you don't feel comfortable with anyone else walking down the aisle, walk down by yourself - I think it's completely fine!

Grandma or Godma would be fine. It depends on what feels right to you. Solo is fine too...

Re: Down the Aisle with?
IF there's no one already in particular you want to walk you down the aisle and you're just looking for someone to cast in the role, I see no problem walking by yourself. There's no rule that says the bride has to be accompanied.
If theres not anyone else u want to walk you down then go down alone. I wouldn't pick someone to walk with just because you feel someone should be walking you down...
