down tonight... NOTE at the end :o)

i don't know why. things are moving along. there's a lot of $$ pressure, stupid family drama here and there, but nothing i can't deal with. i'm just feeling a little sad. i don't know if it's because it's been so gloomy and rainy or if i'm just having a hard time dealing with how certain people in my family just aren't as excited as i hoped they'd be. i'm doing a lot of this stuff all by myself and it's sorta lonely to have no one to really share it with. FH works a lot and helps when he can...but i just thought this time in my life would be a little more blissfully happy than it's turing out to be. i know i should just focus on happy things...... i don't even know if i have a reason...i just feel so down. ugh, what a low. sorry to vent, just needed to share. i'll perk up...just felt like sharing that. anyone else feel that way ever?

I totally understand. I think this weather is really getting to everyone. I've also been a bit bummed because it seems like FH isn't as excited and into the wedding as I would have hoped. I know that on the actual day he'll be great, but with a month to go, you'd think he'd be more into it all by now. The wedding planning and anticipation is hard. Definitely lots of room for disappointment during the whole process.

thanks so much girls. it's nice to hear that it's not just me exactly. i'm definitely trying to just focus on the happy, positive parts. it's just not so easy this week. i don't know...this week is just a downer.


HOWEVER... it's so so nice to have such a great uplifting and caring group of girls to vent to and get positive thoughts from!! you really did help to cheer me up quite a bit and i just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

i really hope i can go to the Suffolk GTG so i can meet some of you!! Seriously, being a part of this forum has MADE my wedding. it's given me such an outlet for venting, sharing my little silly DIY projects and little moments that would have otherwise just sort of flashed by without anyone to really notice or say 'Yay' or put one of these up: and even though i haven't been on the boards this past week (due to being over worked...) i will most definitely be on the boards through till 2010 starts so i can see off all the 09ers and their beautiful wedding days!!

I totally know what you're feeling and I felt that way yesterday -- it's so strange how easy it is to just not feel like your normal happy self sometimes. Fortunately, it passes.

The author of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Betty Smith, wrote another book called 'Joy in the Morning' and it quotes the bible (something I never do, btw) but it's a passage I try to keep in mind whenever I'm down...

'Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.'

Keep your chin up, and remember that worrying is just a misuse of imagination!!!!
