Downloading fonts

you have to download them to the computer (really download anywhere on your computer, I created a folder called fonts so I could find them). Then after they are downloaded, open up the folder and then go to control panel and open that up. You should see a folder called fonts on your control panel. You have to drag the downloaded fonts (highlight them and right click) into the fonts folder of your control panel. Once this is done, they will be on word and all other programs when you go into a new document or a pre-existing one.

I hope that makes sense, let me know if it doesn't and I will try to clarify.

So, I download them into a 'font' folder and they are saved as winzip files. Once I go to the control panel and select 'add new font' - they original 'font' folder is no where to be found.

I'm pretty good at computers, but this font downloading is driving me nuts......just like trying to do the monnograms which I still haven't figured out!!

I unzipped them and put them in a new folder that I had created.

Then I went into the control panel and into fonts. Then I selected FILE - Install New Font and searched for the folder.
