Dress

Any thoughts/comments on preserving your wedding dress prior to getting married. I actually paid for my dress a few weeks ago, it did not come in yet but will by the end of the year, I am not getting married until June 2006, any ideas. I was thinking a reputable cleaners. Your feedback will help.

Re: Dress

I purchased it because I did not want to risk the chance of the dress being discontinued and I really like it... Plus I purchased it from David's Bridal and they do not store the dresses for you after it's complete.

Re: Dress

I'm not sure what excatly occurs during the presrvation process.I guess the intention is to keep it in wearable condition, soi t shouldn't hurt, butI think it may not be neccessary.I think if you have space to leave it flat&covered in a sheet it will be ok.

Re: Dress

That's true, the associate in David's Bridal mentioned wrapping it in the sheet, I just don't have room for it, I guess I will go with the cleaners idea, they charge $50 for it, so it isn't bad. Thanks for your help.
