1) don't wear a thong! The first time I went dress shopping I wore when and then completely forgot that this stranger is going to be in the room with me with my bear naked A$$ sticking out... to top it off my mother and grandma were also in the room

2) Look at the stores website's to see what lines they carry and then go to each of the designers websites to find some dresses/styles that you like and bring the pictures with you. First time I went shopping, they didnt have a lot of the dresses but they had other designers with similiar styles that i was able to try on.

I know, but there wasn't I could do about it so I suffered through it. I am actually going dress shopping again on Sunday and you can be sure I'll be covered up!

Keep an open mind. Sometimes, a dress that looks just eh on the hanger, looks fantastic on.

Enjoy the experience and be open to trying different styles. You never know what looks good until you try it on. And definitely wear full coverage underwear. Have fun!

i agree with the thong, i wish someone would have told me before i started getting naked in kleinfelds with fmil in the room

also bring a strapless bra

keep an open mind and try things on you normally wouldnt have

be realistic with your consultant about your budget, the last thing you want is for her to bring out a dress you fall head over heals with and is like thousands of dollars over your budget

dont feel pressured to buy anything the first time

yup I am a thong victim as we..I can't believe I didn't think of it & it happened again a second time because I am just dumb..oh well haha I think I even apologized to the bridal attendant for the 'cheek show' I was so embarrassed!
