dress!!!!!!

dress!!!!!!

Hi girls. Sorry, I've been ***** for a while... Dress shopping and trying to work as much as possible to pay for this thing!!!

I am having SUCh a hard time about this dress thing!

One of the dresses looks MUCH better in diamond white with light gold underneath, and it doesn't look the same in white (bc of no shadows and the lace doesn't pop being the same color as the underneath!)

How many of you are wearing ivory or something other than white? Do people still think of white as being the pure and ivory as being... not pure? We already live together, and I'm a somewhat older bride (32 today)...

HELP!!!!!

I am wearing diamond white! Shade darker than WHITE WHITE and a shade lighter than Ivory

UUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGG!!!!! This is soooo hard.
It took a long time for me to find a dress, but I loved one dress and all the stores had it in a dark ivory - I really wanted a white dress. When I finally found a store that carried the dress in white - I thought it made the lace look cheap - so try to find a store that you can see the color you are ordering.

I ended up with another dress and it is ivory - but a very light ivory - looks like diamond white

I am wearing ivory. nobody thinks anything specific about colors
whatever u want
and age has nothing to do with the color of ur dress
pick whatever looks good on u and u love. I chose ivory b/c I liked how it looked so soft and didnt clash w/my pale blue skin hehe

I'm wearing off-white, don't know if it's diamond white or ivory, but only the older folk think about those traditions and sometimes not even them!
You have to think about what looks best on you. I know that white does NOT look good with my skin tone and off-white/ivory definitely compliment me a lot more.

Im 34 years old and my dress is WHITE!!! I love it. Thats an antiquated reference about white = pure... wear what you LOVE!!!!!!

We live together too. Dont worry!

but to answer your question, A LOT of people aren't wearing white. I'm wearing ivory with a little champagne color in it ...

if you love it, buy it

Yeah, it was my mom (OLD SCHOOL) who mentioned the ivory thing to me... I always thought I wanted white, but this one is gorgeous... Let me see if I can post a pic... I've 'narrowed it down' (but not really) to two dresses (of the ones I saw... I still feel like my dress might be out there somewhere else... going tomorrow and fri too!!!)

Please ignore the look on my face in the first pic!!! I actually love both dresses!!

It's so funny that you like those 2 because my other choice was Demetrios style 974 which is a bit poofier than the 900. Seems like you're torn like I was??

I wore off white because that is what worked best with my skin tone. I was 33 on my wedding day, but would have done the same, regardless of age. I looked too washed out in pure white.

My dress is ivory with gold netting and that's cuz its what I fell inlove with. I was unsure of color, but I think ivory looks better on my skin tone (otherwise id just blend in) lol

I loooove the 1st one. They look like 2 totally diff styles.

Ummm the second dress is my dress!! haha, I LOVE IT... I got it in diamond white. I already saw it when it came in and it looks gorgeous... obviously that's the decision I made, if you want to go with any other shade honestly I think they would all look beautiful. I would just stay away from the white-white, since the diamond white looks pretty white to me as is.

I know I'm biased but I prefer the second dress on you to the first, although they both look great on you.

I do love it! I think my childhood image of my wedding day is clouding my adult image. HOW DO YOU GIRLS DO IT?????

I can't even think of what my vision of my dress is.... I want to cry right now. I'm less than 6 months away!!!
