Dress advice for busty girls?

Dress advice for busty girls?

Ok ladies, help me out on this one. I have been dress shopping 4/5 times already and everyone has a different opinion on what top I should wear since I am very busty. It's driving me crazy! What is the best style for girls that are more top heavy?? I fell in love with a dress already that is strapless, but every time I tell someone about it it's like 'really? with your crest?'. Do any of you guys experience this? I feel like telling them that the person who is the most concerned with falling out of a dress is me and I would not pick a dress I felt uncomfitable with! But it's still... 'I don't know, I think you are going to regret it... blah, blah'. Some times I think that SOME strapless hides it better then anything else. Please help!!!

You have to go with what you feel comfortable with…I personally don’t like strapless because I don’t think it’s that flattering, plus I would love the extra support of something pulling em up Plus, I guess I’m brassy, because I want to show those babies off! I do agree that strapless cameflagous them pretty well, though.

I think a halter would be the best way to cover the girls up! Just because you dont want them half hanging out in your pics... showing a ton of cleavage, and having that 'ripple' effect from being squished... They also said this from a wedding show of 20 do's and dont's

IMO, halter tops emphasize it more because it is more bound to show cleavage, though I guess it depends how low the neckline is. JMO

I'm a busty girl, 36DD, and I wore strapless and felt great in it! It's really a personal decision, wear whatever dress YOU feel comfortable in, don't let people tell you how your going to feel.

Also remember, these dresses are made to fit around your body - we have 2 fittings for a reason! Get a good bra that will suit the dress, and you'll be fine in whatever you choose.

I've got a strapless dress and so do my BM's. We're all pretty chesty.....

get them fit to the girls and ask them to put 'stays' in the dress. They won't have to fit them too tight on the top (no 'sausage look') and they won't be pulling them up all night either!

I think the same thing about halter tops. I am always more chesty in one. I dislike them tremendously.

I am wearing strapless. All of me and my 38DD's The dress comes over my chest and I hardly have any cleavage at all. My dress is a corset back so it can be as tight as I need it to be. That plus a good bra and I have no worries!

Try on everything and get what you love! Don't worry about other people!

it all depends on the look you want and what u feel most comfortable in. To be honest, it's a wedding gown, and your seamstress will make sure you are well supported no matter what....atleast thats what they SHOULD be doing lol. talk to your seamstress about it...she will probably tell you that a halter has the most support, but will show cleavage, and a straight edged strapless will camaflouge a little more with a little less support.(and obviously anything with sleeves you can wear a regular bra with). ANYWAYS, just go with the dress you absolutely love & feel comfortable in...then let your seamstress handle it from there. (and ps: DONT LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE TELL YOU CRAP!!! nod ur head, smile & say 'thanks i'll keep that in mind) lol. good luck!

I'm a 36DD and chose an off the shoulder dress but I think that for me the dresses I felt most comfortable and secure in were not of a particular neckline necessarily but all had corset backs. All laced up I can even go braless which I have never been able to do.
If you love the strapless then wear it!

Thanks girls, you are really making me feel better about this. I did find that although the halter supported better, I felt more chesty. I thought I was crazy because I heard that busty girls look better in halters. I felt like I was 16 again trying to get into a club, if you know what I mean

My 40DD's are fine in my strapless dress.

Just make sure there is enough material to cover the girls, that not too much cleavage shows. I jumped, twisted and bounced to make sure they stayed put.
Sweetheart necklines are also good, it gives a little more coverage.
Halters I am not so crazy about, expecially if they show too much cleavage. Just makes the girls look bigger. But, if the halter fits properly, it can help support.

Good luck !

eta :
the dress I bout has a corset back. It helps with the support, so I don't have to rely on the bra alone. The corset keeps everything in place, and the dress doesn't move.

Strapless is actually the best option.

I'm a 36DD and going strapless. It was by far the most flattering on me.

Anyone who asks you why you'd go strapless if you're chesty doesn't know what they are talking about.

I have DDs and I went with a strapless dress-- pic in my album. Alot of people have said stuff about it that I should add a strap or sleeves, but I really don't want to. I love the way my dress the way it is and the sweetheart neckline is really flattering. I'm going to get a corset at Mary's in Woodbury so everything stays in place.

Since I'm a DD I was surprised when the women at the store gave me strapless to try on; but it looked awesome and that's what I'm wearing.

Most important is that you are comfortable and that you just love your dress

Good luck

as long as the gown fits, i think it's a very flattering style.

i would go for a soft sweetheart neckline as opposed to a big dip or a deep sweetheart also, the straight across neckline (square maybe?) has a tendancy to look like you are trying to hold 'the ladies' back.

in the end, you hafta go with what YOU are comfortable in.
