So, I ordered a dress in September for my wedding which I LOVED at the time.. .I am a pretty plain person and wanted a dress without too much detailing on it, which I found and adored. Then, a few weeks ago I saw a gorgeous dress in a magazine and now I am totally doubting my decision. The new dress is way more expensive also which just complicates things more. I don't know if I should even entertain the idea of switching... this is the first one, but the sparkly thing is coming off and that part is being sewn flat with a few pearls...
i'd say to try on the melissa sweet gown... it definitely is gorgeous... and this way you'll at least know whether or not you like the dress on you, before stressing yourself out over whether or not to switch!
if you stick with your original dress... it is still a REALLY BEAUTIFUL dress. you'll still be a gorgeous bride!
can't go wrong either wayyyyy

I absolutely LOVE melissa sweet's gowns.. I can't even begin to explain!! They are totally out of my price range though- beyond out of range!! Absolutely go in and try it on though.. it's the only way you will know!

I suggest trying it on... it will either completely rule it out or make you realize you should change. You want to be as close to be 100% sure that you have 'THE Dress'.

Thank you all for your advice!!! I really appreciate it! I went and tried on the Melissa Sweet gown tonight, and unfortunately I am still confused, as they are so different, and I like them both... I am leaning towards sticking with the original though.

Keep the first one! They have the same silhouette, just different texture bc of the lace. With your first gown you can always do something a little more decorative with your veil. I love the first one. I think it is magnificent! Very Audrey Hepburn-like! It seems to match your pretty plain style, but it adds a twist of elegance.
Stop shopping!! It just gets you in trouble

Definitely the secone one! My friend wore that dress at her wedding and it was amazing. It is very classy. You can't go wrong with Melissa Sweet. I love lace. I think it is totally classy. You always see wedding dresses that look the same, with the same beading and sequins. The second dress looks different and totally Grace Kelly.

I think the Melissa Sweet is a georgeous gown and I like that one better also. The Justin Alexander one says that it is made of taffeta which is a very uncomfotable fabric IMO. I am just like you I have very simple taste. I feel like you may not like the Justin Alexander if you try it on. But if you cannot stop thinking about it, I would go and try it on and see how you feel.. That's what it's all about anyways... My choice would be the Melissa Sweet gown that you have already.
