I am all set to put a deposit on my dress. The only thing holding me back is that I have lost 20 pounds in the last 6 months and am still determined to lose at least 10-20 more. Do you girls know how long dresses usually take to come in? I called the salon but of course they are closed today. So do you think I should hold off ordering for a couple of more months? Ahhhh!
Mine took 5 months.
They told me it could take up to 9 mos. to come in, but mine came in 3 mos. Every designer is different though! I think you should be safe, but I'd probably order by February.
be careful with the weight loss... after you get your dress... my sister lost about 40lbs when she got her dress... the seamstress told her she couldnt loose any more weight at one point because the dress wouldnt look right... i would check with the designer/seamstress and ask them...
I dont think that you need to hold off, just order it in the size that you are now and when it gets closer to your wedding date have it fitted. I bought a sample and my dress is a size 10 and I am a size 4 so if your dress is big it wont be a prob.
