Dress alteration

I just came back from getting my dress & my BM dress alterations and OMG! The total cost for alterations for 5 BM & 1Bride were more than 600 bucks. Is this serious? I thought alterations would be cheaper than that

for 6 dresses i guess its fine. How much were your alterations and how much were the bm's separately.

For bridal dresses usually most bridal stores if you get it done at same place you bought it, cap the alterations at $250-350 on average and then bustle is separate. My store charged me $525 for my dress only.

Bm dresses usually are anywhere from $65-85 cap for them. But if you go elsewhere from where you bought dress can go up depending on what needs to be done.

For 6 dresses seems good

Sounds about right, especially with 5 dresses PLUS bride. I'm paying almost $600 just for my alterations!!!!!!

My dress alterations cost was 250.00 (no bustle yet)
For BM, each one ranges from 65-85.

I thought I was overcharged

yeah seems real good. $250 is about average for a brides dress and good price.

bm's ive seen most at around $85 so that is also good.

Usually it would be more but if you get it done at same place as where you bought dress then its less.

I remember one time i brought a regular summer dress and was big on me and brought it to the cleaners to take in and cost me about $50-60 so for bm dresses and bridal def will always cost more.

my BMs are capped at 65 at RK Bridal and mine is going to be 575!!!! thats the cap at Kleinfelds
