Dress Alteration Recommendations in Nassau County or Queens

I bought my dress from Davids however, i do not want to take it back to the store to get alterations since i heard so many bad stories.

So i need some recomendations on places where i can get them done. Please let me know prices too if you know them, because i do not want alterations to get too expensive. I'm looking mainly in Nassau County and Queens only.

when i lived in Nassau I used to go to Maria's Perfect Fit - she did my sweet 16 and prom gowns and I know she does wedding gowns (my prom and sweet 16 gowns were both huge ballgowns)
