Dress Alterations

I need some help. my wedding is in April and i need to have my dress altered. I live in the Bronx, work in Manhattan and have family living in Queens so I can travel and it is no problem. Can someone recommend where I can have my dress altered?

I'm having mine done at Kleinfelds, I bought my dress there but even if you didnt they have some people that work out of their home.

I bought mine at David's bridal, so they do the alterations for me. I don't know if they'll do it if you didn't buy the gown from them. Good luck!

Re: Dress Alterations

My Bridesmaids just had their dress altered with a seamstress that works out of her home in the Bronx. I went to her place with my sister and my daughter and she did alterations for their dresses. She does Brides dreses too, as she used to work for Bridal manufacturers.
FM if you want her info

Re: Dress Alterations

I had a bridesmaid dress altered by this woman who does them out of her apartment in Manhattan. She did great work on the BM dress and I saw a lot of wedding dresses the few times I was there.

Her website is kind of cheesy, but she does do good work.

I called Madame Paulette. So $$$$, but amazing reputation. If I went to her though the alterations would cost more than my dress (I got mine at a sample sale). I'm going to check alterations4brides though.
