Since my dress just came in its on my mind, especially since BE hasn't called me back yet.
When should you start and approx how many fittings should there be?

im having 3 fittings...one 2 months before, another one month before and the last one like a week before....

when your dress comes in do u pick it up or leave it @ the shop?

Good question...I think that depends on the alterations. If you don't need ANY (probably rare) they probably let you keep it there for some time.
Most people I know usually pick it up within a week or two of the wedding.

yea try to have them store it at the store until a week or two before the wedding because this way if something should happen to it its in their hands and their fault not yours. Plus its not exactly easy to store a dress.
Alterations three to two months before.

The place I ordered my gown from said I have to come in to try it on as soon as it's in and they'll take measurements then. After that, they said I can have as many fittings as I need to make it perfect for me....but I think around 3 should be good. Hopefully I can lose some weight by the time the dress comes in!
