dress alterations, is this too much?

Okay, so I had a regular bustle, she said I had the cheaper one which costs $80. Thens he said the most they can charge me is $250? for alterations. I only had the top taken in a bit and that was all, nothing else done, they didn't need to add or take away beading, or anything. Does this sound right???

I mean, that is almost half of what I paid for my freaking dress alone! I know alterations can be expensive, but does this sound right?


I had it done at 'princess Bridals' in Farmingdale.

I agree with it sounding pretty reasonable. I was told when I bought my dress that alterations were $350 no matter what was done.

I ended up just having about an inch taken off the bottom and the bustle done. For someone with alot of alterations the price was great, for me not so much, but thats the deal.
