So I'm going up to LI to go dress shopping for the first time this weekend and since I'm planning from out of town I'm hoping to find the one this weekend and put a deposit down. My question is--how much do they usually require for a downpayment on a dress? Also, any dress shopping advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated!
I'm also going to a couple of florists as well this weekend and wondering how much of a deposit they usually require.

Hmmm....I'm trying to remember I think it was a 50% deposit on the dress and 20% on flowers.

I don't know about the dress, but I know my florist asked for 20% down and the rest is due in cash the day before the wedding.

Gown is 50% and my flowers were $200...that's what I left as a deposit.

my gown was 50% and i only went to one florist and they needed 200 bucks down. GL and have fun!

For Gowns, it's about 50% and for flowers about 10%

For you dress most places ask for 50%some of course will be more of less but the norm is 50%
Florist was 20 or 25% to book

I had to leave 60% for the dress and flowers they said to leave what we want they didnt have a specific amount
