Dress and Veil Ordered!!!! With Pics!
Well, I just got home from the store a little while ago, and we ordered my dress! I decided after all on the ivory. After seeing a brand new Jasmine sample that came in in ivory that was all clean, it looked a lot lighter than my older sample, so that reassured me. I'm too visual a person to have ordered it sight unseen in white, so I think that after all the obsessing, I made the right decisision! Pics below, I'm terribly un-photogenic, I don't know why I always look strained and annoyed, kinda hard to spend all this money on a photographer if I'm gonna look like this in all my pics haha! At least my dress looks good lol.
So my saleswoman had me try on some veils for kicks and giggles, and I was like eh, why not, because I had all intentions of just going to Barron's to get something very inexpensive. My mom was pushing for me to buy something today, but I told her I'd rather not, since she's paying for dress and veil. The first veil I tried on (in third pic), was alright, but second veil I tried on was perfect, and so unexpected! It had matching scrolls and crystals exactly like the design on the dress! So we decided completely impulsively to buy it today too. It was an Edward Berger, but not on their website that I could find, I'm so upset, I wanted to show pics. I may have to go back and visit my veil again to take another pic. I just feel really bad that it was more money for my poor mother.
I also got my reception slippers today!!! Slight issue, I need to determine if they're too tight. I have BIG feet, size 11, and the style I got only go to XL (9.5-10.5). If I got the plain ones without the pearls, it would go to XXL 11-12. I know no one sees the feet, so I should probably just exchange to be comfortable, but I'm being fussy about matching haha. A quick exchange won't take toooooooo long.
So now all I need to do is find a hairpiece, some blue undies, and a purse and my entire wedding ensemble is complete! Yay!!!![]()
EDIT: I am now being told by my mother that the pic with the veil was in fact the veil I ordered. Der. I guess I should have been able to tell since first one was white and second was ivory, and clearly this veil matches dress!
