Dress Anxiety?

Has anyone had dress anxiety after they put their deposit down?

If you saw my post from earlier this week, you'll know that i had a great Kleinfelds experience last Friday and I chose a beautiful Pnina Tornai dress (and got a great discount because it was the trunk show).

It was only my 3rd appointment, and on my second appt at another place (about a month ago), i had tried on a beautiful Amalia Carrara-Eve of Milady dress. I wanted to try it on and compare the two at Kleinfelds, but they didn't have the dress in their inventory. Everyone in my group LOVED the Pnina, but none of them had seen the Amalia because i went with just my MOH who was not at the Kleinfelds appt...i wasn't expecting to find anything. Basically i felt like i had to make a choice, and since everyone loved the Pnina and the price was right, I put a deposit down.

What's weird is that the night i got home from Kleinfelds, i was watching a new episode of Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta and the AMALIA DRESS WAS ON IT. First time i had ever seen it on television or in a magazine or anything. Is it a sign? I love BOTH dresses and they're very similar...i just cant make up my mind.

So since Friday i've had nothing but anxiety about the situation.. wondering if i made the right choice. I called kleinfelds and put a hold on the Pnina order, asked if they would be able to order the Amalia dress if i did change my mind, and then made an appt for this Friday to try the dress on again. At least i'll know that I tried it on again and will be confident in my choice.

::Sigh:: i'm so indecisive.

I had dress anxiety too. I feel like I ordered mine way too soon. I had plenty of time to keep looking, I wish I didnt rush it. But, I do love my dress and paid less than a quarter of what I budgeted so I guess thats good. Go with your gut, you still have plenty of time before you need to place an order. Def go in and try it on again if your having doubts but keep in mind there are a million pretty dresses out there and if this one gave you a feeling, it's probably 'the one.'

If you are indecisive, I would try on the other dress on and make your decision from the 2. Once you make your choice between the 2 - STOP looking.

Once I said yes to the dress, I haven't looked at gowns or opened a bridal magazine. I was afraid of finding something else that I liked or was interested in. Good luck! I'm sure you will make the right choice.

I had this feeling too. But I tried on my dress twice more like 2 months after purchasing it and I KNEW I made the right decision. I love millions of dresses, but MY dress is right for ME. I agree with the other girls. Go back and try it on and STOP LOOKING! Its hard but avoid it!

ETA- I stopped watching 'Say Yes to the Dress' after I purchased mine. It was nerve wracking! I also joined a forum (not on LIW) with other girls who also had my dress so we could see how each of us was wearing hair, veils, jewlery etc. It made me even more excited! Just something to think about.

Haha i know! I have to stop watching that show and buying the magazines because it really makes things so much worse!

I'm trying the first one on again tomorrow so i should be able to make a decision i feel confident in. Wish i could try them on together but unfortunately that can't happen.

I had REALLY bad dress anxiety. The train wasnt long enough. The dress wasnt poofy enough. I wanted straps. I wanted a haulter. Everything was wrong once I purchased it. Then I went and tried it on again at another store while my mom was looking for her dress. You know what happened? I cried, my mom cried, my sister cried. I just needed that reassurance. And despite all the things that I found wrong with the dress, its MINE and its the right dress for me. You picked your dress for a reason. You probably like me, just need some reassurance. Let us know what happens tomorrow! HTH!
