Re: Dress Budgets
My budget for the dress itself was $1k, but then add in veil(s), alterations, and all that other good stuff and it's about double that now.

Re: Dress Budgets
My original budget for the dress was 2K but then I found my dress for under 1K so with bustle, veil and everything else I'll be under my original dress budget

My budget was 1500. I am going to end up over that though with alterations, veil and slip. Oh well!

Re: Dress Budgets
My budget was 1500 before alterations, but I found my dress for under 1K so I was super happy about that!
Mine was originally 3K but I fell in love. All places I found were quoting me around the same price range (higher than 3k) except that the store I got my dress in -Valentina bridal- included alterations and slip for my dress for the same quote, where as other salons would charge for alterations and I saved on the added costs They also capped all my bridesmaids and mom alterations at $40 + 10% off their dresses. Super attentive and very friendly. Side note: It was such a great experience finally getting (deciding on) the dress, I knew I had two in mind but when I had to choose between the dresses- I felt the 'this is the one' moment; my mom and dad were with me to see the gowns and My dad then revealed that he would be purchasing the dress for me- I cried, he creid, my mom cried and soon the sales people had tears, it was a major love fest and I'll never forget the moment and remmeber it as one of the fondest memories with my parents.
The veil and shoes will be extra - bringing the budget up but considering my parents, this cost will def come under budget for me
