I am bringing it to my dry cleaners. They do such a beautiful job (I have seen completed work). They clean and preserve the dress and the headpiece in a beautiful box.
No sure where you live, but I know a few people who have gone to 'Z Frenh cleaners' in Hauppauge, and they were amazing. They are pretty much known for their work with wedding gowns.
Dutch Girl Cleaners in Northport is great with bridal gowns. I know because I worked there in High School and college and I saw how Kathy takes care of each dress personally. If you are going to go there make sure you call ahead so that you can make sure that Kathy is there 631-757-0100.
I sent mine out to wedclean.com...great customer service, handled my gown with so much care, and got out a TON of stains, and it is beautifully preserved-----so worth it I think!
I hear the dry cleaning place next to Bridal Suite in Huntington does a beautiful job, too. They are right on Rt 110.
