Im a very small girl and spent the whole day looking for dress clothes for my new job. I was hoping to get a bunch of suits and some sweaters. I got a couple tops no pants and a skirt at macys. Iwanna still look for suits but I dont know where to go for my size suits.. Can anyone heeelp pllllllease!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I jsut went to the mall and found nothing lol. I went to macys yesterday b/c they usually have a decent selection in juniors( only juniors fit me) but I got a lot of shirts but not that many suits. So I listened to you girls and went to express and Ann Taylor. The stuff that I actually liked were like 200.00 and Im sorry I cannot see spending that much money I just cant. Im gonna try agian at macys once more of the fall stuff comes out. Its just soo annoying I have always had this problem and I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS mandess has a huge sale on shoes I got a pair of shoes for like 7.00

I am petite also. I shop for petite pants in Annie Sez. A lot of times, I get pants from Target and then get them hemmed. Khols has some nice pants and some career stuff as well.

bloomingdales has a separate petite section, they are alot of the same designers they sell in the store but the designers petite collection. I would stick to things that are specifically made for petite. Smaller sizes many times wont necessarily be for someone who is shorter but just thinner and its annoying bc pants can always be long. I think macys has a petite section too.
As far as length express has good pants, they're never too long for me, which is usually a problem. You can always hem pants but it can become a pain if you always have to do this.

I share the curse of the short & thin with you It's sooo difficult to find anything! I haven't checked it out yet, but some of my Asian girlfriends have told me to check out the stores in both Flushing (Main Street area) and Chinatown. They are tiny and say they can only really shop in those areas where a lot of the women they are selling to are tiny. HTH!

I DEFINATELY feel your stress!
Could you by something less expensive and have it altered?! If you price around you could find someoen reasonable....alter basic pieces so you have the for a olong time, maybe that will make you feel less bad about spending the extra money....to me it may be worth getting a perfect fit which you'll NEVER get in the store!
