About a month ago, I was put on medication and lost 16 pounds. This was not good. I was a ballerina at one point and very thin naturally, now I'm 'creepy' skinny. I'm under 100 pounds and pretty tall. This is my problem, I found my dress of my dreams and I ordered it on the spot. When they measured me they said I would have to get the smallest size they are able to make. Okay, fine, but I plan on gaining this weight back again with the help of a nutritionist. So,, my question is do I call Macy's and tell them to order it up one size or keep it the way it is and hope that it gives me room to let it out if I need to. I know I got over a year to go, but the weight will come back and I don't know what to do.

Re: Dress Crisis
Its easier to make a dress smaller then to let one out. i would order a bigger size.

Re: Dress Crisis
since your wedding is over a year away and you definitely plan on putting the weight back on, you may want to go a size up.
I hope you feel better

Thanks ladies. This has been eating at me for the past week. I will call and get a bigger size. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Re: Dress Crisis
It depends on how much 'wiggle' room you have. If the smallest size was still going to be very big on you, don't worry. Otherwise, order a size bigger if you can.

Re: Dress Crisis
You may just want to wait a while to order your dress until your weight stabilizes. You have time.
