Dress Decision (repost from BHB)

Hi Ladies

I need help...I'm not getting married until next Nov. 2006 but I have tried on some dresses partly for the fun of it and partly beacuse my sister works in Macy's Bridal. I tried on this dress my sister wanted me to see...and I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT...I can't stop thinking about it and I want to get it but...
I'm worried that I'll change my mind by this time next year and be upset that I jumped so fast to buy something.
Am I thinking like this because its the first one out of the ones I tried on that I like???

I'm most likely getting the gown at Macys because of my sister...so I'm limited to those desginers...I wasn't crazy about alot of the gowns they carry...neither is my sister (shes a fashion major)

Do I just get it and try my hardest not to look into what comes out between now and next year...

Heres the dress...its a Marissa gown..it has lace going down the front (2 panels) as well as the back...

the gown is gorgeous, and i don't think you will be unhappy with your choice. but sleep on it and go back in a few months. you may see something else you like when you go back.

Its a beautiful dress. If you've tried on others, its not as if its the only dress you tried on. Tough call, but if you think you can keep from looking at other dresses and you feel this is the one- go for it! Can your sister put the dress on hold for a while?

I think its beautiful.... but I would wait until the last possible moment.

If your sister is going to continue working there, a. you won't lose the discount and b. she'll know if it's going 'bye-bye'...

so I would just ask her to keep tabs on it.

I don't know how long she can hold it...I just don't think she can hold it for as long as I want...until my wedding..

I think the dress is gorgeous! I found my dress a few months ago and couldn't stop thinking about it. I tried on a lot of other dresses but didn't like them. Then I began to think about what I really wanted in a dress. The dress I tried on matched it perfectly! I say try on some other dresses but keep in mind what looks best on you. If you still like it, I say get it. Tough decision but it should be fun trying on dresses!

Since your sister works there maybe she can keep an eye and ear out in case the dress is going to be discontinued. At that point you can decide if you want to order it or not. This way you are not totally committed to it in case you find another dress you like better down the road.

i love that dress. get it. so that means you get a discount too.
but if you are not 100% then wait. it is new it will take time to be discontinued.
