a few months ago i put a deposit down on a dress. i found out that the dress has not been ordered yet, luckily, because i found a new one that i love. has anyone been through this and able to get a refund? i could see it being an issue if it was ordered but since its not, i dont know. i havent called to ask about it yet because i want to be 100% sure on the 2nd one i love. does anyone have advice? thanks.
I had this happen to me as well. I ended up ordering a different dress, but with the same bridal salon and they let me switch the money over. They also told me that if I found another dress and did not order from them that I could use the money for something else. ie, MOB dress, veil, etc.
if you get it at the same place they will let you transfer your deposit towards a new dress...if not then check their policy about deposits, i got a contract when i bought my dress and it had all this info, if not check your receipt
thanks! i did check the receipt but it says no refunds on special orders, but since it wasnt ordered i would think that i shouldnt be held to it but who knows?
