Dress Dilema

Dress Dilema

Up until today I have been unable to find a dress that I really love.....today however, I somehow came across 2 dresses that I believe can be 'the one'. They are so different (one is more contemporary - pic 1 and the other more traditional pic 2). I would love some opinions to help me make my decision between the 2 or even if you think I should keep looking! Thanks for your help :)

I tried a dress on that looked similar to dress #2, I really liked it until I saw the price tag. I actually saw that pic on the knot and was wondering were I could find that dress . I am really trying to stay around $1000 and under for a dress.
I am not a fan of contemporary anything, but if you like it go for it.
The only thing I would say is be careful what dress you choose. A dress may look good now but, you don't want to look back years from now and ask 'what was I thinking'!!

I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of either of the dresses I'm not into big and pouffy bustle- like dresses.

I prefer the 2nd (Casablanca) dress over the first one but not into the embroidery-type pattern. My suggestion is to keep searching...you still have a lot of time. Best of luck!

I think they are both really nice. You have to pick what you like. Which one were you more comfortable in? The dress you try on and then start comparing other dresses to is 'the one'. Sorry I hope I didn't make it sound too confusing.

Hi,

The reason I say keep looking is because other than the fact that both dresses are strapless, these dresses have nothing else in common!

I would keep looking until I find a dress that has both contemporary and traditional elements to it. That way you won't regret your dress decision in the long run...

I voted for the contemporary one, and the poll is tied up!
2 for contemporary
2 for traditional
2 for keep looking

That just means that this is a personal decision. Go with what you like! We all have different tastes and it's all about how you feel when YOU have th dress on.

OMG! you must be my 'dilemma' twin. I was having the same problem. I tried on that same Casablanca dress and fell in love with it. Then I tried on a Watters and Watters gown that is very similar to the Maggie Sottero. I was torn because they looked very different. I was also torn because my mom didn't like the Casablanca. I ended up going with the Watters and Watters. I tend to be more traditional with my choice of dress, but this one really made heart flutter. I say go for the one that makes you feel most fabulous!

Re: Dress Dilema

Thank you for your advice. I have tried on both dresses and do love both of them...if I had the money I would buy both and wear one for the ceremony and one for the reception, however since that is not an option please keep the suggestions and recommendations coming!

If you love either one - go for it... I always said I wanted strapless, silk or satin, off white, and look what I ended up LOVING!!!!!!!! Something totally opposite! LOL

Your dress is beautiful! I never thought I would love something traditional...I am more of the contemporary ball gown look...but here I am contimplating between the 2.

I would recommend the traditional, because of just that, it's traditional. You want to look back at your pictures and see a timeless look, not a fad that you may hate in 30 years or even 6 months!

I LIKE CONTEMPORARY HOWEVER I DIDN'T LIKE THE DROP WAIST ON THAT PARTICULAR DRESS SO I VOTED FOR #2 SINCE THAT IS ALSO A BEAUTIFUL DRESS

Personally, I like the second one better.

I do think you should keep looking though. I'm sure there is a dress out there that you will know is the one!
