Dress dilema, please help

Dress dilema, please help

I know I know, early early early... BUT

Last year I was playing around with my mother and grandmother at a dress shop, and tried on a Mary's bridal dress that I fell in love with.

Like, literally walked out of the dressing room with tears in my eyes saying 'I found my pretty pretty princess dress'

the other dresses i have seen, I have always compared to that dress. Grandma wanted to buy it for me this christmas when I go to FL if it still looks good.

Problem... checked the marys bridal website, and its no longer listed in the collections. Its in the On Sale section, but not the main collection.

Should I try and find it and get it now, knowing it will be discontinued soon (if I can find it), or wait until later and hope i find something that gives me that same reaction?

Thanks in advance ladies

This is the dress

If you love it, I would buy it. I waited too long, and was like a lunatic dress shopping these past two weeks. You don't know if you will find another that will give you tears. Go for it!

well first - that dress is beautiful :) second - if u are absolutely head over heels in love with it...ORDER IT. i agree u have a LOT of time....and that if u looked way later u'll probably find something u absolutely love...but just to be safe, i'd get it now. You don't want to wait, and always have this dress in the back of ur mind, and then when it DOES come time to shop u find nothing that makes u feel the way u do about this one. I say go for it. and if u later find something else u love, u could always sell it on e-bay or something. I wouldn't risk the regret....plus - IT'S ON SALE! lol. go for it

If you love it, get it. You can look all you want, but nothing mathes that reaction, they might come close, but nothing is the same!

I'm not sure how many other dresses you have tried on which might make a difference. If this was one of the first ones it might have just been that 'bridal' feel that made you fall in love with the dress. I guess theres not anything wrong with that though anyway. If you are still thinking about that dress and cant forget it then you should buy it! (It IS REALLY pretty) Plus it'll be a gift and you wont have to pay! =)

if you LOVE IT, get it! Esp if it's at risk of being discontinued... but just remember that there is a possibility of you falling inlove with another one between now and 2010.... but if you are ok with that.. then i woudl go ahead and order it.. and if you have to, you can always SELL this dress...

I think i have tried on around 15, 16 dresses, from Davids Bridal, Private Label and Demetrios. One came semi close, it was a different look, and while it was pretty, it didn't stun me. I have tried some dresses (got bored waiting for a meeting at school and went to RK Bridal) that i thought would come close, and I kept seeing the dress in my mind, making comparisons in the way it fit and looked on me. Its silly, I know. It wasnt the first dress I tried on, but its the one that has stuck in my head the longest, almost a year now

It is a very pretty dress and if you truly felt that way about it--I would say to buy it. If you wait and can't find anything, you will regret it--esp if it is discontinued.

If u luv it, get it! Just remember that you should be careful with how you store it so the color isn't affected.

I only tried on 4 gowns and bought one because i loved it and I was almost a year and a half before my wedding. I have poked around a little and never found anything I loved as much. If you feel it's the dress..ORDER IT before you can't get it. HTH

You can always try to sell it on ebay or craigslist or here if you change your mind!

I have to second the advise here- if you love it - get it.. it's a absolutely beautiful gown.

If you love it buy it! YOu may find something else that you love over time, then you can always sell this one. But once the one you love is gone its gone, so I would take the chance and buy it

I would buy it. I bought my dress over a year and a half in advance, the first day I went shopping, the last dress I tried on. I put it on and just knew, and so did everyone else. i sometimes look at other girls dresses on here and think how beautiful they are and that maybe I should go looking, but then I remind myself of the feeling I got and I feel better!
