I know i dont really post much, but i know you girls give great advice! heres my issue- I ordered my gown in november at princess bridals, i loved the dress (hate the store), then yesterday when i went to look at my mothers gown that she picked out (another bridal shop) i fell in LOVE with another dress and like an idiot tried it on and fell even more in LOVE with it.... I put down a 300 deposit at princess bridals, i dont care if i get my deposit back but am i responsible for the balance (the dress is not in yet) of the dress? the store has been a nightmare and i knew i should have ordered my gown somewhere else but the gown i found (maggie sottero) was not on her website or anywhere else to get the style number.... the new dress is also a maggie... help .. what do i do?
TIA
the bottom of the receipt reads: this order is given with the full knowledge & agreement that itis not subject to cancelation. balance must be paid by first fitting. and on the back- i agree w/ the merchandise ordered above & understand that the order can not be in anyway changed or canceled. I hope theres a way around that

Maybe you can post a pic and someone will like it and buy it from you. If you really like the new one get that one. it's your day and whatever will make you happy!!!

I don't think there is a way around it. Call the store and tell them that you want to cancel the order and see what they say. Maybe they can contact the manufacturer and see about canceling the order and paying a partial balance. Otherwise you will be a 2dress girl. I am a 2dress girl too.

I am not sure if you have to pay the full price. I would call ask ASAP, so this way the dress doesn't come in, and you are really stuck

Yes, you are bound by the terms of the contract and from what you posted it sounds like you have to pay the balance.

Try calling the store (even if it su***) and see if they will change your order. Maybe they can get the new dress you like Good Luck!

sounds like a contract you;'re tied into. Let's see the two gowns, there are plenty of girls who are second guessing their choices (me included). Maybe someone will buy it from you

Unfortunately you will owe the rest of the balance...Once you order it and they start making it they're gonna expect the full payment of the dress when it arrives in the store.
