So I finally found my dream dress. I saw it in January at a bridal expo and the only place that has this dress in a 50 mile radius is the Wedding Center in Commack. It is an Allure dress which not many stores sell. I keep reading so many bad reviews of the wedding center but I really want this dress! Anyone have any POSITIVE experiences with them? When I went to go try on the dress, a woman named Carol helped me. She was very nice and helpful. The owner is extremely annoying but I kind of ignored him. What should I do?? This dress is gorgeous!!!

Re: dress dilemma!
I know Bridal Elegance also carries Allure. Try going to the Allure website and use the store locator.

What have you read about them? Is the altering the problem? Could you buy the dress from there and then take it some place else to be altered? I would take my dress somewhere else if the altering was the issue.

Re: dress dilemma!
You can go to the website see which stores carry Allure. Then email or call those stores and ask if they have that particular dress.P.S. I'm sure RK bridal carries Allure. If none of those other stores have it , I would go ASAP to the wedding center and order it. The faster you order it the more time you have to fix any problems that may arise.
Get the dress that you love, just stay on top of them.

I agree with this...I dealt with them for a BM dress years ago, they were fine, not fabulous about customer service but they were OK

Never been there, but when I called the store about a dress that guy your talking about was extremely annoying on the phone.

Commack Wedding center - I got a bridesmaid dress there and was not thrilled. Any other store that carries Allure can order you the dress you want. Phyllis and Bridal Elegance is great and so is Ashley at Helens Private Collection. I dont know if Helens carries Allure but give it a try!

Re: dress dilemma!
I had a BM dress altered there 3 years ago, and I had an okay experience. They were really accommodating since I was from out of town. But, if you are hesitant, then see if you can order it from another store with a better reputation. HTH!

Re: dress dilemma!
There's always the option of orderign it someplace else that carries the designer even if they don't have that sample in store! If you are really uncomfortable ordering from there, there's nothing wrong with trying it on there one last time, and then if you decide you love it, get measured at order it someplace else!

Call Phyliss. She can get you almost any dress and at a better price. My FSIL got her dress from her last year and everything was perfect and she saved a ton!
