I have been to numerous salons and have had no luck finding a dress. They are all so beautiful but I haven't gotten an overwhelming feeling on a dress that it was 'the' dress.

But, I tried on a Justin Alexander dress (#8731) I finally liked at fantasia and said it would be 'the' dress only if it had lace and now Maggie Sottero appears to have a new dress in her Fall 2014 line that is the same fit as the one I liked and it is lace (Summer)! I have called around and all of the salons said they don't expect to carry the Maggie fall 2014 line until Septemberish. The issue is JA dress has long wait times and I am told I would need to order it now for it to be in in time for my wedding in May.

I don't know what to do! Does anyone have experience with Sottero and Midgley dresses and how long they really take to come in? Or Justin Alexander? I would hate to settle on the Justin Alexander when the Sottero one has exactly what I wanted. But I would hate to not like the Maggie and missed out on getting the JA.

I tried explaining this to my FH and he doesn't get it! I figured you fellow brides would.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Go to a maggie trunk show!!! I ordered a fall 2014 collection dress by madeline gardner in April, and i got a discount for the trunk show! Maggie sottero has the full collection available to order at trunk shows before salons get them.

Thanks for that info! I just checked and they don't have any trunk shows in NY on their website only store events. I will keep checking! Thanks!

You can always ask about a rush fee with the JA if you don't get to try on the other dress - before September

Not sure how willing you are to travel to try to see if the Maggie dress is the one you want but there is a trunk show coming up (this week or next week) in Connecticut. I just saw the new line and theres a few I really want to try on. I called bridal suite of Bay Shore, they said they got one in from the new line already so maybe check with them to see if it's the one you are looking for. I live in CT right now and I'm considering going to the trunk show too. If not check surrounding states for the trunk show. I know Connecticut would be a travel but you could always order the dress at a salon in NY once you know it's what your looking for.

The event is not the trunk show. :( The event is where they showcase their current designs and the trunk show is the future designs. I found that out today by calling around.

The promising news is that one salon says they have it on their list of expected dresses and will call me when it comes in and another one said they would contact the designer and see if they can get it as a loaner. Fingers crossed! Apparently none of the salons I called have any trunk shows planned for Maggie Sottero's Fall 2014 line. Some of them I missed by just a few months!

Just wanted to let you know the RK Bridal website has the summer dress on there listed with a price. I was checking out the new line on there to see how much some of the ones I liked were
