Re: Dress Dilemma (long!)

Go with your gut. If you always pictured yourself in a tulle dress then stick with your first choice. Personally, I would go with the bow but that's my style. From what you've shared on the boards about yourself, the tulle dress fits you. Good luck with whatever decision you come to.

It sounds like you have your mind made up but are hesitating. Follow your heart.

Re: Dress Dilemma (long!)

Go back and try them on again, don't listen to the saleswoman or anyone else you bring with you. Wait for the gut instinct.

I think you may just be having a classic case of the 'what if I hate my dress!' syndrome, which does seem fairly common on the boards. I am waiting for mine to kick in!

I think you picked it for a reason, and your mothers comment is swaying you because of you love for Grace.

Any woman can have the class, style, and grace to be a 'Grace' in anything they decide to wear.

Re: Dress Dilemma (long!)

Okay - re dress #1 - if actually having to remove the line of sequins and lengthening the waist is what you'd have to do to be happy with the dress - why bother? It becomes a different dress entirely at that point. I think dress #2 will accomplish all your goals: 1) it too is fit for a princess; 2) girl, if you've got Reese Witherspoon AND Grace Kelly style and taste? You're awesome! You CANNOT go wrong with dress #2. JMO.

But keep in mind - you're gonna be beautiful, no matter what!!

Re: Dress Dilemma (long!)

You're right, its definitely hard to say w/out seeing you in it. I love the 2nd one...the esp. the way it looks like it would sweep along the floor. Its very elegant.

The first one is beautiful too. I voted for #2. You should go back and try both of them on again. Good luck!
