Dress dilemna

Dress dilemna

I bought 2 dresses but can't decide which one to wear or if the 1st one can be altered to fit. If anyone knows if a dress can be altered one or 2 sizes up. please let me know. I bought the first dress used, even though it was too small. Then I bought another one thinking that maybe I couldn't alter it enough. Now I was trying to sell the first one but I still like it better. Should I keep the second one and forgot about the first one or try to see if the first can be altered that much. It also needs to be cleaned and pressed. It will sit higher on the shoulders, I couldn't zip it. I don't like the bows, but they should be easy to remove. What would you do? TIA

How do I load up the picture? It is saying image is too large?

I put it in the album. Can't figure out how to put picture here.

Re: Dress dilemna

its harder to let out a dress rather than taking it in. What they do is they get the extra fabric, so would you be able to do that? if not it might be easier to go with the dress that gets taken in. But go with which dress you like best and bring it to a seamstress and see what she says and if all your ideas can be done, they will be able to answer all your questions and after that it will probably be easier for you to make a decision

Good luck

Thanks, sounds exactly what FH was saying tonight. I thought it probably wasn't a viable option and I bought the second dress because of it. Now that I am looking at it again, I want to make sure that I am making the right decision.

I like the second one better. You can do alterations on the first one, but they say you really shouldn't alter down more than one size...two at the very most.

Thanks a lot for uploading the picture. I couldn't figure it out. I appreciate the honest opinions. I have a hard time making up my mind when it comes to me. It seems the second dress will be my best option. Thank you again.
